The Blocked Ear

The sensation of a blocked ear is a very common feeling.  Almost always it represents a temporary reaction following a cold, or the result of a build up of skin and wax in the ear canal.

Occasionally however it can represent a sudden loss of hearing (see sudden sensorineural hearing loss), or a long list of rarer conditions.
