Fellowship opportunity

Dr Sean Flanagan is more than happy to discuss any questions of those interested in pursuing a clinical fellowship in otology and neurotology with the department of otolaryngology, head and neck and skull base surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, Australia.The Fellowship runs from July to July and is based on the St Vincent’s Hospital Campus, Sydney, Australia. The fellowship supervisors are A/P Nigel Biggs, Dr Philip Chang, Dr Sean Flanagan and Dr Timothy Matthews.  In addition to St Vincent’s Private and Public Hospitals, the supervisors also work at Prince of Wales Private and Public Hospitals, Macquarie Hospital, Kareena Hospital and Sutherland/St George Hospitals.

The fellowship is targeted to those who already have a grounding in otologic surgery, who are looking to further their skills and knowledge in the field of otology and skull base surgery. There is significant exposure to middle ear and mastoid surgery, cochlear implantation and skull base surgery. There are regular multidisciplinary radiology and pathology departmental meetings, responsibilities in helping run temporal bone courses and advanced surgery courses during the fellowship.
